Company is the first web host to surpass one million .uk domain names, making it UK's largest domain registrar.

123-reg, a domain Registrar and hosting provider, announced that it is the first web host to exceed one million .uk domain names registered on a single Internet Provider Security tag. The company was informed by Nominet, the internet registry for .uk domain names, that this milestone figure was reached during the last half of January 2008 when the number of domains on the 123-reg tag hit 1,007,975.

The company further explains that Tag Holders are companies that provide domain name registration services, and include specialist domain name providers, hosting companies, ISPs and even web designers. The company believes that one reason for it achieving this milestone is attributed to the high level of domain control given to its customers, making 123-reg the UK's largest domain registrar.
