Company announces the launch of its third data center buildout in partnership with UK Grid.

34SP.com, a web hosting company, yesterday announced the launch of its third data center buildout in partnership with UK Grid, a customer focused provider of data center space and network services. The company avers that the data center is the third provisioned by it with existing data center space in London and Manchester. According to the company, the previous data center buildouts were approaching capacity, and it desired to find a scalable data center with close proximity to Manchester City.

It states that the new data center space is a tier2 data center in Manchester. The site location is Manchester Science Park, Synergy House and is UK Grid's latest addition to its 'carrier neutral' data centers. The facility includes redundant power and cooling and is serviced by a fully diverse fibre ring providing high availability, as well as full physical and virtual security. The data center also has its own independent HV supply and power substation enabling the facility to sustain the newest high powered racks required by the next generation of powerful servers. The company adds that the carrier neutral facility is connected via a dark fibre ring to multiple tier1 and tier2 bandwidth providers. Completely separate and independent multi homed fibre entry points into the building provide the maximum redundancy and uptime available.

Daniel Foster, Co-founder of 34SP.com and the company's Technical Director described the reasons for building out the new data center, ''We've been growing ever since we started, and part of growing as a web host means adding server hardware. To date, we've been using our main London data center to add this capacity, but wanted to add another site close to our headquarters in Manchester. This not only allows for easier access to hardware for development purposes, but will allow us to offer further redundancy to our customers.
