Company to showcase energy-efficient solutions for reliability, manageability and higher density at BICSI Fall Conference.
ADC, a network infrastructure equipment provider, today announced that it will feature solutions to support energy-efficient data center designs as well as higher density solutions with integrated cable management at the 2008 BICSI Fall Conference at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, Sept. 28-Oct.
The company explains that as today's data center supports different equipment, applications and bandwidth speeds, it requires specialized design, greater reliability and manageability, and higher density. It articulates that the data center solutions on display include:
- Energy-Efficient Data Centers: ADC supports green data centers by designing and manufacturing solutions for passive airflow improvement that reduce cooling and power requirements.
- Augmented Category 6 Solutions: ADC's CopperTen(R) system was the world's first Augmented Category 6 structured cabling system with the necessary characteristics to enable 10 Gbps Ethernet transmissions over a full 100 meters of UTP cable and meet the recently ratified TIA and ISO Standards.
- High Density Fiber Solutions: ADC's Data Center Optical Distribution Frame solution is a high density, robust solution that serves as a modern data center's main fiber cross-connect.
"Today's data centers need to be designed for energy efficiency and optimal performance without compromising reliability and manageability," said M. H. Raza, vice president, Enterprise Business for ADC. "Our solutions are designed with industry-leading cable management which promotes unrestricted passive airflow, helping to achieve a more environmentally friendly data center."
