Dotster to show Afternic's domain name listings on its results page by employing their API.
Afternic.com, a provider of domain name services, yesterday announced that it has added Dotster, Inc., a domain registration and web hosting company, to its stable of partner domain name registrars.
Afternic President and CEO, Roger Collins explained that Dotster is
employing Afternic's application program interface (API), a set of
protocols and software development tools that allow it to show Afternic
listings on results pages of Dotster searches. This lets Dotster
customers obtain Afternic names and prices easily and quickly.
"Through this new partnership, we aim to help Dotster increase customer
satisfaction and broaden its customer base by allowing visitors to its
site find the Afternic-listed name they want from a search on Dotster,"
said Collins.
"As an aggressive, growth-oriented registrar, our partnership with
Afternic is a good fit for the next phase of our development, and an
effective way for us to expand our domain name aftermarket," said
Dotster CEO, Clint Page. "As Internet use continues to explode
worldwide, we think offering the domain name aftermarket offers great
potential."
