Offers a bridge alternative between a dedicated server and traditional shared web hosting with new solution.
AllureHost, a provider of cPanel/WHM-based shared and reseller hosting solutions, today announced that it has launched a semi-dedicated web hosting solution, offering a bridge alternative between a dedicated server and traditional shared web hosting.
The company avers that the semi-dedicated web hosting accounts are hosted on Dual or Quad Core servers with between 10 and 15 other users. Each user receives an allotment of system resources, a dedicated IP address, SSH access, and the company's 24/7/365 technical support, it claims.
It explains that unlike virtual private servers, semi-dedicated servers impose strict limits on the total number of users per server, and each account is guaranteed access to system resources, such as processor cycles and hard drive I/O access. All semi-dedicated servers are also fully managed and maintained by it, says the company.
"Semi-Dedicated hosting thrives by blending ease of use with total performance," said John Lewis, AllureHost executive vice president. "Our fully managed Semi-Dedicated plans offer the usability of virtual hosting with the resource guarantees and stability that only a Dedicated Server can provide."
