To provide Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) 70 Type II data center facilities to ShareMethods.
AppSite, a provider of web hosting services, today announced that they have been selected by sales and marketing storage firm, ShareMethods, to provide Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) 70 Type II data center facilities.
The
company reveals that by hosting the ShareMethods service at Appsite's
datacenter, ShareMethods hopes to provide their customers security,
reliability, and responsiveness. AppSite Hosting will also allow
ShareMethods to provide redundancy and scale even when adding
customers.
ShareMethods delivers sales and marketing library to manage, share, and
distribute materials such as proposals, marketing collateral, customer
agreements, and partner documents on a global basis.
SAS 70 Type
II certification designates that the data center complies with the
auditing standard, developed by the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants. A Type II report not only includes the service
organization's description of controls, but also includes testing of
the service organization's controls over a minimum six month period.
"We
are pleased to be able to provide a robust and scalable infrastructure
for ShareMethods to grow and become successful. Our strong
technological background and SAS 70 certification gives ShareMethods
the utmost confidence in our data center as they expand their
capabilities and bring on more customers," said Craig Schmidtke,
General Manager of AppSite Hosting.
"The upgrade to a SAS 70
data center is part of our ongoing commitment to provide the highest
level of service to our customers. ShareMethods has provided 99.9%+
availability over the last two years and we expect an even higher level
in the new data center. Our global user community of 135 companies
operating in 23 countries will benefit from this upgrade to a higher
level of industry standard reliability. We are also pleased that
AppSite's nationwide reach allows us to expand to additional data
centers on an as-needed basis," said Eric Hoffert, CEO of ShareMethods.
