Array Networks Inc., an enterprise secure application delivery provider, introduced its NetCert Certificate Authority Solution for full life-cycle management of industry-standard Public Key Infrastructure digital certificates, at the RSA conference. NetCert provides secure, transparent access for employees, vendors, and customers with real-time control over application access and network security with continuous OCSP-based status checking, states the company.

The company declared that NetCert allows businesses to issue, distribute, suspend and revoke digital certificates quickly and efficiently. To optimize user productivity, the new solution's flexible multi-certificate system provides variable access to applications. It adds that if job requirements change, IT personnel can quickly respond by issuing new, canceling or modifying certificates to reflect the new situation.

In addition, by encrypting and authenticating all internal communication, NetCert ensures that all internal data and business policy processes can't be compromised. It claims that with audit journals tracking every interaction within the Certificate Authority Server and external components, CIO's and CFO's can rest assured that corporate compliance policies are being adhered to completely.

It articulates that built on strict adherence to Public Key Infrastructure architecture, NetCert fully supports the latest security open standards, including X.509 v3 and CRL v2, and is completely interoperable with third party applications. NetCert is compatible with the most popular and widely-used databases and directories, including Microsoft Active Directory, SUN ONE Directory, Oracle Internet Directory, Novell e-Directory Services, IBM Websphere and BEA Weblogic.
