Company's televaulting addresses the shortcomings of alternative backup and recovery methods for protecting virtualized server environments.
Asigra Inc., a provider of agentless information recovery management, today announced that Asigra Televaulting has been certified for use with Virtual Iron's, a provider of server virtualization software. The company explains that televaulting is agentless information recovery platform for virtualized server environments, reducing CPU and memory requirements while reducing resources required for deployment and management of information recovery processes.
''IT efficiency is a primary factor driving organizational adoption of server virtualization and Asigra furthers that value proposition by providing a streamlined backup and recovery platform for virtualized environments,'' said Adam Moise, Director of Global Alliances for Asigra. ''Asigra Televaulting is installed on only one physical or virtual server at each datacenter or location targeted for recovery – there is no need to install software on any virtualized server (or any physical machine) targeted for backup. The result is optimal system performance, allowing the user to get the most out of their virtualized infrastructure.''
''Asigra's large MSP community is perfectly positioned to support the rapidly growing base of more than one thousand SMB/SME Virtual Iron users looking to protect their virtual infrastructure. By leveraging each other's installed base, this is a win for both Asigra and Virtual Iron, opening new routes to market,'' said Chris Barclay, Director of Product Management at Virtual Iron Software. ''The benefits extend to end users where the collective advantages of greater infrastructure optimization and advanced information recovery management streamline business operations.''
