Automated system replaces Ask Jeeves Premier Listings product, enabling access to a broader base of self-service users.
Putting an end to all rumours, Ask Jeeves, which was recently acquired by InterActiveCorp (IAC), today officially announced the launch of Ask Jeeves Sponsored Listings, a new search advertising product that will allow advertisers to purchase, manage and optimize campaigns on Ask Jeeves and its advertising syndication network.
Ask Jeeves Sponsored Listings is replacing the company's 'Premier Listings' product
with an open-auction system that provides easier access for a range of search advertisers. Sponsored Listings advertisers will receive premier placement on Ask Jeeves above Google AdWords, which will also continue to be distributed on Ask Jeeves. The system is available to existing Ask Jeeves advertisers, with general availability slated for August 15th.
According to the company, the advertisers are provided with features such as Premium placement on Ask Jeeves and its syndication network, low spend minimum enabling large and small advertisers to purchase search advertising via a self-service system and increased visibility into campaign performance, enabling management of campaigns.

"Ask Jeeves' customers wanted greater control over their advertising campaigns, and our new product empowers advertisers without sacrificing the high level of customer service for which Ask Jeeves is known."
Ask Jeeves also announced today the integration of IAC Partner Marketing, the advertising and integrated marketing solutions group of IAC, with AJinteractive, the advertising solutions and sales division of Ask Jeeves, to form IAC Advertising Solutions. To be headed by Paul Gardi, this division will enable a concentrated focus on the three business areas of IAC Advertising Solutions: search, media and performance advertising, while leveraging the common resources of the combined organizations.
