Latest version includes support for iPhone and Windows-Mobile.
AtMail, a provider of Linux-based email management appliances and software, announced yesterday the release of AtMail 5.6. The company says that the new AtMail 5.6 version includes new iPhone push mail support, DKIM filtering and improved WebAdmin functionality.
It avers that new enhancements to AtMail's core WebMail solution include:
- Push Feature: Provides the gateway for any existing IMAP4 server in order to users to access their webmail from any hand-held device. Includes address-book synchronization.
- Improved Calendar for FireFox 3: Calendar function now allows users to schedule group meetings and events.
- Full DKIM support: Provides increased security for webmail. With this new support, webmail clients can connect to DKIM support integrated into Exim for message authentication and anti-spam measures, now with TLS.
"The new Atmail Push feature enhances the accessibility of email resources, allowing users to receive email on their handset in real time," said Corey Bissaillon, Vice President of AtMail. "Until now, customers with these handsets were locked in to using the mailserver chosen by the device manufacturer but now there is an alternative: Atmail server with Push.''
