Virtual Fileserver allows mobile professionals to edit, share, store, backup and synchronize files effortlessly across company boundaries.
Aventiv, a managed-service provider of internet-based, file sharing and synchronization solutions, today announced that it has launched its latest NomaDesk 2.5 release. With this release the company claims that it has introduced a brand-new tiered "virtual fileserver" offering. It says that NomaDesk users can choose between fileserver types to share and synchronize documents based on how they work, not on how much data or bandwidth they consume.
It articulates that the Team fileserver enables you to share documents that can be edited by anyone in your network -- whether inside or outside your organization and includes workflow tools. The Public fileserver delivers all of the features of the Team version, except only the owner can make changes to the files on the fileserver. As a rich media publication system, the Public fileserver lets you invite an unlimited number of guests who can access the virtual fileserver's rich content as read-only. The Personal fileserver automatically synchronizes the owner's private files on up to five different PCs. The company further adds that each new NomaDesk user automatically receives a free Personal and Public fileserver. Any other fileserver, including the Team fileserver, can be added for free for an indefinite period.
"The release of NomaDesk 2.5 marks the beginning of a new application platform that will allow us to launch even more exciting business features for the digital nomads. The indefinite free trial helps us better understand their specific needs. So, we are gathering feedback for now", says the company's chief executive Filip Tack.
