Company says that 10% of the new space of the 38,000 sq ft data center was filled within the first week.
C I Host, a web hosting and data center operations provider, yesterday announced that it has increased its Dallas, 38,000 sq ft data center this month, as part of its continuing expansion to meet the needs of a growing client base.
The company claims that the first 100 square feet was snapped up the first day by a customer who purchased a private data vault colocation package and 10% of the new space was filled within the first week. Additionally, a new Dallas data center is slated to open in Spring or Summer of 2006. C I Host says that even as it has picked up larger clients, the company has continued to meet the needs of its core market, small and medium sized businesses. It also says that geographic load balancing allows companies to have their data served from several different cities, thus putting that data closer to their customers and minimizing downtime.
"We make all our data centers, all across the country, available to our SMB clients so they enjoy the same geographic load balancing that the 'big boys' do,"said Christopher Faulkner, CEO, C I Host.
