Hosting provider launches 'mississippirecovery.com' and partners with Mississippi Governor's office to raise funds.
C I Host, a
web hosting and data center services provider, today announced its
partnership with the Mississippi Hurricane Recovery Fund, to host www.mississippirecovery.com,to raise financial aid for victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Mississippi Hurricane Recovery Fund will raise and disburse
funds to help with recovery costs by supplementing the coverage
provided by insurance, government funding, and immediate relief
organizations. Accordingly, C I Host will send a call of action to
its 220,000 clients, suggesting donations. In addition, the hosting
company will contribute $10 to the Mississippi Hurricane Recovery Fund
for every new web hosting customer for the next 90 days, said the
company.
"There is nothing we can do that is enough. No one can," said
Christopher Faulkner, CEO, C I Host. "Like her neighbors, Mississippi
was decimated, and we want to ensure that victims in Mississippi are
not obscured in the shadows as other areas get more media coverage."
"C I Host has been a great partner to Mississippi. They have given
us a valuable tool so our friends can contribute to the fund
conveniently and securely," said Governor Haley Barbour.
