C-Search R1.3 includes Mail Monitor which helps in indexing mail content; offers a free version to organizations with less than 50 users.
C-Search Limited, a search engine provider for IBM Lotus Domino domain, yesterday announced the addition of the C-Search Mail Monitor to its product portfolio as part of the latest release to its search engine.
The mail monitor uses the Domino directory to locate each user's mail file for indexing. Index contents can be used as part of a knowledge management or mail archiving strategy. The monitor can synchronize the index with mail content deletions or optionally deleted mails can be retained to form an archive for compliance or other business reasons. Content discovery is facilitated through user configurable search screens. It is offered in the full version of C-Search and is also available as a separate standalone product.
The C-Search product features browser and notes client support, simple and advanced search screens, ability to sort and refine results, dynamic generation of document summaries, field level and full text searches, open databases and launch attachments from results pages, saved searches and support for user favorites and built in RSS news reader.
In addition to the Mail Monitor, C-Search R1.3 also includes the following new features support for Domino Document Manager R7.0, standard configurations supplied for common Domino database types, plug in support for IBM Workplace Web Content Management and special version of C-Search offered free to organizations with less than 50 users, claims the company. C-Search is licensed at website and enterprise levels and runs on any Domino server R5.01 or later.
