Would assure clients that email messages are recognized by ISP's and differentiated from junk or fraudulent email.
CheetahMail, a provider of email marketing and web site analytics solutions, today announced that it is fully compliant with DomainKeys email authentication specification and is applying signature to all messages for domain-managed clients.
The company says that by implementing DomainKeys, CheetahMail clients can be assured that their messages are easily recognized by Internet Service Providers (ISP's) and differentiated from junk or fraudulent email. It is both SPF and Sender-ID compliant.
DomainKeys, an email authentication specification introduced by Yahoo! requires senders to use public and private key cryptography to enable receivers to authenticate both the sender's domain and the transmission integrity of the message.
"It's extremely important for email recipients to validate messages sent by companies they've entrusted with an email relationship. As an industry leader, CheetahMail believes that it is our responsibility to provide the greatest transparency possible in order for email receivers to recognize our clients' messages. Only DomainKeys today enable us to both authenticate our clients as reputable senders and authenticate the actual content of the messages we send on their behalf," said Ben Isaacson, CheetahMail's privacy and compliance leader.
