Introduces managed corporate hosting solutions powered by R1Soft's Continuous Data Protection.
Cirrus Tech, a Canada based web hosting company, today announced it will begin to introduce a variety of high-end managed hosting solutions for businesses, powered by R1Soft's Continuous Data Protection (CDP) technology to eliminate the threat of catastrophic data loss.
The company avers that the corporate solutions, which have not yet been released and will utilize clustered server infrastructure, include technologies such as hosted Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Exchange. R1Soft's CDP software will be employed as the cardinal backup component to support the new services.
Microsoft Exchange offers email support for Blackberry, Good Mobile, and iPhone (via ActiveSync). Continuous Data Protection will be used to protect email messages, calendars, task lists, and all other data stored on Exchange servers, says the company.
"In creating our new corporate services, we aimed to partner with leaders in their respective fields to offer more value added services. R1Soft offers the most robust backup solution with the greatest control that we've found in the marketplace," said Mani Aminian, Cirrus Tech sales manager. "Our corporate solutions are built around two themes - security and reliability. Clustered infrastructure and R1Soft technology reinforce this strategy and go hand in hand."
"R1Soft backup technologies provide the most flexible and developed set of features to support enterprise information systems. We look forward to working with Cirrus Tech as they deploy CDP for their corporate clients," said David Wartell, vice president of R1Soft, a division of BBS Technologies.
