Updates web hosting solutions with Windows Server 2008 and Plesk 8.6.
Following the release of Windows Server 2008's on their Dedicated Server plans, Cirrus Tech, a Canadian web hosting provider, today announced that they have updated their Windows Shared hosting plans with Windows Server 2008 in addition to upgrading their Plesk Control Panel to version 8.6 for both Windows and Linux Shared Hosting Plans.
The company articulates that with Windows Server 2008 running on its web servers, clients will enjoy increased levels of availability, security and reliability with their shared hosting plans. While the operating system plays a vital role in the performance of the web hosting service, it is somewhat transparent in a shared hosting environment. Since clients interact more with the control panel, they will definitely benefit from the enhancements found in Plesk 8.6.
It adds that Plesk 8.6 is available on both Windows and Linux shared web hosting and reseller hosting plans. The latest version of the Plesk Control Panel offers new features while continuing to deliver the highest levels of stability and performance. Some of the highlights of Plesk 8.6 are improved DNS zone update, permission for clients to select a target DB server, improved control panel navigation, etc.
