Comodo claims that the acquisition will enable it to offer an integrated line of Internet business solutions and obtain an edge over its competitors.
Comodo Inc., a provider of information security, management and communication technologies, yesterday announced that it has acquired Positive Software Corporation (PSOFT) of Brooklyn, New York, the developer of H-Sphere, a multi-server web hosting control panel that provides hosting automation for Linux, BSD and Windows2000/2003 platforms.
PSOFT also develops CP+, a web based control panel for dedicated servers that supports most Linux & FreeBSD operating systems. CP+ offers a graphical interface for Admin, Domain Owner and End User levels, and complete functionality to manage the server and its components. PSOFT's Igor Seletskiy will be retained in the capacity of Technical Director and will oversee the continuing development of H-Sphere and CP+.
"Both companies have been actively engaged in the development of secure and robust business solutions, and the cost-effective offering of those solutions in the marketplace. The addition of PSOFT helps make Comodo unique among the competition in terms of scope, quality, and price points," said Melih Abdulhayoglu, President and CEO, Comodo. "We now offer a complete and totally integrated line of Internet business solutions, and furthermore we have the ability to fully accommodate our partner-resellers in the web hosting industry with the kind of support they have come to expect from Comodo."
