D-Link, a networking solutions provider for consumer and business, today announced the availability of SECURESPOT 2.0 Professional Strength Internet Security and Parental Control Services in three of its 802.11n routers.

The company claims that designed to accommodate the growing needs of the home broadband network, it is offering its internet security service integrated with its DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit, DIR-625 RangeBooster N and DIR-628 RangeBooster N Dual Band Routers and the DSD-150 Internet Security Adapter.

It articulates that by integrating internet security and parental controls into the router, it lightens the load on the PC and brings professional strength technology to the consumer, such as remote management, centrally managed URL databases updated in real-time, and whole-home protection for all Internet devices on the network, not just PCs. The company states that most features are provided without installing any software on PCs, making it easy for the head of the network household to protect and manage Internet usage to keep the entire family protected.
