Daffodil Software, a provider of database products and synchronization solutions, yesterday announced the beta release of Daffodil Replicator v1.8 with new features like Scheduling, Debugging, Special Character Handling, and Replication Process Monitoring.
Daffodil Replicator is Open Source data synchronization software that ensures high availability of data in environments that make use of heterogeneous databases. Replicator can either capture a data-source snapshot or synchronize change to maintain a local database at remote client locations. It can also be used for sharing workload across enterprise database severs, by mirroring vital data on identical databases.
Apart from various performance enhancements, v1.8 fixes major bugs related to maintaining Referential integrity rules (while deleting the parent-child relationship records), Stack overflow, Out of Memory, Maximum open cursor exceeds, table already exist with different structure and Special character handling.
