Locates a portion of the visual content hosting and publishing company's data storage equipment at Data393's $30 million facility in Englewood, Colo.
Data393, a Colorado based data-center operator, yesterday announced a new colocation agreement with Photobucket, a visual content hosting and publishing service, to locate a portion of the company's data storage equipment at Data393's $30 million facility in Englewood, Colo.
The company says that it will supply Photobucket with a data storage facility that includes power, cooling, and access to a 10 GigE Internet pipeline. Photobucket will use its own equipment and software, and Photobucket personnel will manage the company's operations in the data center.
"We selected Data393 due to its capacity to handle large amounts of Internet traffic," said Photobucket's Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer Darren Crystal. "This agreement gives Photobucket access to an additional secure data storage facility with room to grow."
