Digital River, Inc., a global leader in e-commerce outsourcing , today announced that it signed an extended e-commerce agreement with Trend Micro, Inc., a leader in network antivirus and Internet content security software and services.
Based on the agreement, Digital River will launch fully localized e-commerce sites to support the expansion of Trend Micro's online sales operations into European and Asian Pacific markets. In addition to supporting Trend Micro with its ongoing efforts to grow its online business, Digital River will continue to host and manage Trend Micro's existing domestic and international e-commerce sites.
“Over the past five years, Digital River has played an important role not only in supporting the operational side of our international online business, but also in helping us execute on our aggressive growth plans, which have contributed to a more than 600 percent increase in our online sales,” said Anuja Parikh, Trend Micro's global Web marketing manager. “By leveraging Digital River's e-commerce assets, we have been able to increase exposure for our products, delivering them into multiple e-commerce channels supported by best practice e-marketing strategies and third-party relationships. Through our extended agreement, we plan to take the solid e-commerce foundation we have established and expand deeper into worldwide geographies.”
Digital River and Trend Micro recently launched a new e-commerce site in Australia. The new online store can be accessed via http://www.trendmicro.com.au. Digital River also manages Trend Micro's six existing online stores in the United States, United Kingdom, Latin America, France, Italy and Spain. These sites are designed to support localized content and currencies. In addition to hosting and providing e-commerce operations for these sites, Digital River will continue merchandising and delivering Trend Micro's software titles into its e-commerce channel of more than 600 online retailers.
