URL Rewrite Module on Windows 2008 Hosting Platform enables search engine friendly URLs for dynamic applications.

DiscountASP.NET, a provider of windows hosting, today announced their launch support for Microsoft URL Rewrite Module for Information Services 7.0 (IIS7).

The company states that the URL Rewrite Module provides a rule-based rewriting mechanism for manipulating requested URLs before they are processed by the web server. It avers that this module can make rewriting decisions based on server variables and HTTP headers, and can also handle logic that use regular expressions. In addition, the new module can perform redirects, send custom responses, and abort requests.
