Launches SQL 2008 hosting in both US and UK datacenter locations.

DiscountASP.NET, a provider of Microsoft Windows hosting, today announced the launch of Microsoft SQL 2008 hosting, available to all its customers as a new hosting add-on option in both US and UK datacenter locations.

The company says that Microsoft SQL Server 2008 is a major update to its enterprise database. Some of the SQL Server 2008 feature enhancements include new data types, such as geospatial data types and date/time data types. In addition, integrated full text search, Language Integrated Query (LINQ), sparse columns, and large user-defined types are improvements that will help drive next-generation data-centric applications.
