The price wars for domain name registrations are still on. After 1&1 Internet and Globat, announced cheaper fees of $2.99 and $3.99 for domain registration respectively, Dot5Hosting has now joined the war.
Dot5Hosting, a provider of web hosting services, today announced that it is offering .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, and .us domain names for a $2.50 per year flat fee.
“This is for all domain names, and we have no intention on taking it down. We of course do intend to up sell the customers.” said Chris Phillips, CEO of Dot5Hosting. “We are offering the $2.50 domains to help increase general awareness of Dot5Hosting and build our customer base.”
