New service, using an open source technology called OpenVPN, will allow companies to run a secure file server or secure web application.

eApps Hosting, a web hosting services provider, today announced its new offering Virtual Private Network (VPN) hosting.

According to the company, customers can now implement a VPN using OpenVPN as an On Demand software application. OpenVPN uses industry standard SSL and TLS encryption and a certificate authentication scheme to create secure connections between client computers and the host server. For a fee of $50 per month, customers can use the eApps VPN hosting solution to secure all data between their Virtual Private Server hosted at the eApps data center and their local computers.
