Ecessa, a provider of WAN link controllers for small-to-medium sized enterprises (SME), today announced the ClariLink-V Series, WAN link controllers for SIP-application management for reliability of VoIP applications over the internet. The company says that ClariLink-V enables voice and video traffic to be deployed reliably across multiple internet and/or service provider networks for redundant link connectivity to deliver automatic real-time failover. This capability ensures that VoIP calls and video conferencing sessions remain active - even in the case of a service provider outage. It explains that ClariLink-V includes internet connection load balancing and failover technology, a SIP Proxy, SIP Registration Server and Network Address Translation (NAT) Proxy that allows SIP traffic to be load balanced and have real-time failover among multiple internet connections to ensure call reliability. ClariLink-V tests all Internet connections for latency prior to a call being established, and then directs traffic to the connection with the lowest latency.
