Ensim Corporation, a hosting automation software provider, yesterday announced the appointment of Scott Sandell as its new chairman and the addition of Irwin Gross as a member to its board of directors.
According to the company, Sandell, a general partner at New Enterprise Associates, an investor in Ensim, brings leadership experience from a number of successful technology firms, including lead investor and member of the board for notable public software firms NetIQ and WebEx. Irwin Gross is a general partner at Worldview and brings more than a decade of experience as an advisor, strategist, and investor with successful technology firms.
Service providers need a comprehensive infrastructure solution to profitably create, control, and deliver high value applications as a service. "Ensim is positioned as a key player to realize this market opportunity," said Sandell. "The company has created an innovative approach to handle the burgeoning demand for software infrastructure that enables services providers to accelerate time to revenue of new services while lowering operational expenditures."
