The company launches BackupAgent Connector for its Ensim Unify Service Provider Edition.

Ensim Corporation, a provider of change management, user provisioning and access control software, today announced that it has integrated BackupAgent into its Ensim Unify Service Provider product. The company states that service providers who use Ensim Unify Service Provider can now easily roll out online backup services using BackupAgent and seamlessly provision those services. It further states that this shortens time-to-market and increases profit margins, guaranteeing a quick return-on-investment. The company adds that one of the launching customers of this newly released connector is Outsourcery, formerly Genesis Communications, UK's provider of unified communications and hosted IT solutions for SMEs.

It explains that Ensim Unify Service Provider Edition is a single, centralized software application that simplifies the day-to-day burden of activating, configuring and managing a service provider's unified communications and collaboration infrastructure. Ensim Unify Service Provider was co-developed with Microsoft, enabling service providers to centrally create, control, and deliver hosted IP and application services. The company claims that BackupAgent provides scalable and easy-to-deploy online backup software for service providers. It says that the solution is fully integrated with Microsoft's Hosted Messaging & Collaboration (HMC) platform and Active Directory. The client software is available for both the consumer and SMB and can back up desktops, laptops and servers, including Microsoft Exchange and SQL backups.
