Adding seven service provider and technology partners like Acmepacket, broadsoft, iBasis.
NeuStar Inc., a
service provider of DNS infrastructure, yesterday announced the
expansion of its SIP-IX Industry Alliance Program, adding seven service
providers and technology partners. The newly added partners
are Acmepacket, Broadsoft, iBasis, nexTone, sonus, sylantro, and XO
communications.
According to NeuStar, it has
developed SIP-IX as the comprehensive suite of services designed to
enable direct network-to-network peering with a standards-based,
cross-domain registry service that is integrated with the Internet
Exchange Providers. The Industry Alliance Program is designed to make
it possible for carriers and network operators to obtain access to
authoritative network routing and addressing information, as well as
foster relationships among alliance partners and the vastness of their
collective customer systems.
"Turning
SIP and IP-based services from interesting niches into mainstream
revenue opportunities is wholly reliant upon interworking amongst major
network operators. For them, a trusted, neutral, and
seamless
solution for services peering is essential," said Mark Foster, CTO,
NeuStar. "The broad application of leading suppliers to network
operators in the SIP-IX Alliance Program delivers that value now more
than ever, and is a reflection of the trusted neutrality of this
Alliance that ensures we collectively can seamlessly deliver a
compelling business solution that creates strategic value for our
customers."
