FORTRUST, a data center services provider and colocation facility, today announced a partnership agreement with Consonus, a data center hosting and Managed IT Services provider. The company states that this partnership enables each its customers to utilize both providers' data center and colocation facilities for geographically diverse disaster recovery and business continuity options.
It further states that it owns and operates a SAS70 Type II data center and colocation facility in the Denver metropolitan area. Consonus has three high-availability SAS70 Type II audited data centers in the Salt Lake City area as well as more than 20 other locations across the United States. The company avers that customers of either company can now colocate their IT infrastructure in Denver and Salt Lake City and interconnect the two facilities, establishing a geographically diverse footprint for increased resiliency.
