Aims at catering offshore and offsite backup with new Virtuzzo VPS technology.
Freenet, a provider of hosting services, today announced the launch of side project through dedicatedvps.com, aimed at catering offshore and offsite backup with new Virtuzzo VPS technology.
The
company says that Freenet Business Solutions Sdn Bhd continues with its
recent introduction Virtuozzo powered Virtual Private Server under a
sister domain dedicatedvps. This Virtuzzo technology creates multiple
isolated VPS on a single physical server to share hardware, licenses
and management effort with maximum efficiency.
Each VPS performs
and executes exactly like a stand-alone server for its users and
applications, as it can be rebooted independently and has its own root
access, users, IP addresses, memory, processes, files, applications,
system libraries and configuration files. In addition, each VPS is
isolated from one another on the physical server, making it impossible
for one VPS to affect another, VPS acts exactly like a standalone
server. You are able to run your own applications in the VPS. You can
also configure it to become your web server, email server, database
server or even a backup server. You can use the VPS as the offshore
backup in Malaysia, claims the company.
"The introduction of VPS
has since become the perfect solution in bridging the gap between the
minimal cost of shared hosting and the reliance of a secure,
independent dedicated server. We are entering an era of technology
where information holds no boundaries. As people outgrow their web
infrastructure, the demand for standalone servers increases. Here at
DedicatedVPS, we offer VPS to suit this needs," said John Tan, CEO of
Free Net Business Solutions Sdn Bhd.
