Provides protection system for all gTLDs and .uk domains registered through it.
Freeparking Domain Registrars (FPDR), an ICANN accredited registrar, announced last week that their Privacy Protection program will be available to its clients at no extra charge. The company states that it has partnered with PrivacyProtect.Org to provide this service to its customers.
The company claims that its Privacy Protection system is available for .com, .net, org, .info, .biz and .uk domains registered through it, and works by changing the details shown on the public WHOIS. It adds that this does not in any way affect the ownership of the domain name, and is not a proxy ownership system; customers' real contact details remain unaffected in the Freeparking database and at the central registry, but these are not made available to the public.
"Freeparking has a huge base of loyal customers and it makes complete sense to offer them this service Free of charge," said Dickie Armour, General Manager of Freeparking's European partner Fibranet Services Ltd. "Many other companies make an annual charge for their Privacy Protection service but Freeparking is committed to providing real value for money for their customers."
