Announces the availability of hosting plans that support SQL Server 2005 and Visual Studio 2005.
Gearworx, a provider of Windows-based web hosting, recently announced the availability of hosting plans that support the releases from Microsoft, SQL Server 2005 and Visual Studio 2005.
The company claims that, in conjunction with ASP.NET 2.0 made available to all clients, the SQL 2005 addition makes Gearworx a one stop shop. The release of ASP.NET 2.0, SQL 2005 and Visual Studio 2005, along with the release of accompanying products such as the Free Visual Web Developer Express and Microsoft SQL 2005 Express, represents one of the most significant advancements in the hosting industry since the initial release of ASP.NET.
Customers can now create and add new databases on the platform of their choosing from within their Control Panel, and transition at their own pace. Likewise, the introduction of the ASP.NET 2.0 framework to the Gearworx shared servers is very similar, and provides customers the flexibility of working on ASP.NET 1.1 or the new ASP.NET 2.0 framework, claims the company.
"We're really excited to announce the latest Microsoft technologies into our products & services," said William Gregorian, CEO of Gearworx.
