Infocrossing, Inc., a provider of strategic IT and business process outsourcing solutions, announced today the signing of a new, sixty-five month outsourcing agreement with a global media conglomerate headquartered in the United States. Under the terms of the agreement, Infocrossing will immediately assume management of the client's mainframe data center operations, and migrate the environment to Infocrossing's existing infrastructure. The award is valued at more than $22 million over the contract term of approximately five years, and is expected to begin billing in February of this year.
"We are pleased to announce the finalization of a contract to provide mainframe outsourcing services to this latest client," stated Zach Lonstein, Infocrossing's Chairman and Chief Executive. "The client's decision was made after an extensive evaluation and contract negotiation process that lasted several months.
After reviewing the financial, technology and business impact of our recommendation, and comparing our proposal to those offered by other service providers, the client decided Infocrossing offered the most compelling solution," Mr. Lonstein concluded. The outsourcing engagement is expected to align the client's mainframe processing needs with their overall business strategy by providing a scaleable, operationally excellent infrastructure capable of meeting their changing business requirements.
The complexity of the agreement extended the typical negotiation timeframe, however, Infocrossing will immediately take over and manage the client's existing computing operations before migrating to an Infocrossing data center. The finalization of this contract completes the $60 million in commitments Infocrossing announced since January 2003, spread over terms ranging from two to seven years.
