Registers 68% of .mobi domain names; has registered more than 1/3rd of those domain names.

GoDaddy, an ICANN accredited registrar and a provider of web hosting services, recently announced that it has registered 68% of .mobi domain names and overall has registered more than 1/3rd of those domain names.

The company explains that the introduction of .mobi provides a new avenue for news and entertainment content delivery, social networking and e-commerce. Go Daddy is allowing customers to get in the .mobi game through a combination of products and services like WebSite Tonight and MobileMail designed to tap the potential of the mobile web expansion.
