Estimates value of domain names for customers who want to buy or sell domains; available in 'Express' and 'Certified' versions.
GoDaddy.com, yesterday announced that domain owners can now ascertain the value of their domains with its new Domain Appraisal service.
Available in both 'Express' and 'Certified' versions, the Domain Appraisal service provides an estimated value of a domain name to domain owners who are either buying or selling a domain name, or, who are simply curious as to the value of their domain.
The company claims that in the 'Express' Domain Appraisal, domain is evaluated based on six factors - top-level domain (TLD), length, number of words, number of hyphens, numeric characters, and desirability. Customers receive an email notification when the appraisal is complete and are linked to a secure web page where it is displayed.
In the 'Certified' Domain Appraisal, domains are reviewed by company experts and customers receive an 'Appraisal Certificate'. 'Express' Domain Appraisal ($9.95/per domain) is available within two hours of submission and 'Certified' Domain Appraisal ($19.95/per domain) within two business days of submission.
"Numerous customers told us they were interested in either buying or selling domains on The Domain Name Aftermarket, but simply had no idea as to how to determine the domain's market value. So we went to work to develop a comprehensive domain appraisal service that was based on a set of weighted factors and industry expertise and backed by the Go Daddy name," said Bob Parsons, President and Founder of GoDaddy.com.
