Patent Nos. 7,028,034 and 7,028,336 protect GraphOn's intellectual property in the areas of firewall devices and dynamic web servers.
GraphOn Corp., a developer of server-based application publishing and web-enabling software solutions, announced today that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued U.S. Patent Nos. 7,028,034 and 7,028,336 to them.
The '034 patent is titled 'A Web Server for Providing a Dynamically-Updating Pay-for-Service Web Site', and the '336 patent is titled 'Firewall Providing Enhanced Network Security and User Transparency'. These patents, issued to GraphOn, protect its intellectual property in the areas of firewall devices and dynamic web servers.
The company says that the '336 patent provides for a firewall for implementing authentication policies in the process of protecting a virtual private network. The '034 patent provides for a web server for hosting a home page for a fee, and allowing a user to dynamically update the home page. More specifically, the '034 provides for allowing a user to securely update a home page over the Internet, including updating personal information stored in the web server and providing content to be displayed on a web page, including graphical content.
"These new patents represent significant additions to our intellectual property portfolio," said Robert Dilworth, GraphOn's CEO. "The total number of patents now owned by GraphOn is 14, a number that we expect to increase significantly in the future. Continued strengthening and broadening of our patent portfolio represents a strategically important activity, the result of which will be to maximize the value of the portfolio to GraphOn."
