New Anti-Virus platform designed for SMB's and individual PC consumers includes firewall protection.
Grisoft, Inc., a provider of security solutions, today announced that it has launched a new version of its antivirus platform with a firewall.
AVG Anti-Virus plus Firewall combines the company's AVG Anti-Virus platform with a firewall that provides SMBs and individual PC consumers with a solution that protects them from the threats of computer viruses, worms, data thieves and computer hackers. It also controls traffic on network ports by assigning rules to applications trying to communicate over the network. In addition, it prompts the user to permit or deny communication for any new application. AVG plus Firewall also supports multiple users' login on Windows XP platforms.
"In our efforts to fulfill the security needs of SMB customers and individual computer users, Grisoft is pleased to announce the launch of the next generation of our award-winning AVG products through the release of AVG Anti-Virus plus Firewall which seamlessly integrates a firewall with the anti-virus features of AVG," said Peter Lipa, President of Grisoft Inc.
