Hyperspin Internet Services, a provider of Web site and server monitoring, today announced it has upgraded the application programming interface for its reseller platform to support external payment systems, enabling resellers to accept online payments through virtually any payment gateway or system.
The company states that in the past, its reseller platform required payments to be made through PayPal or 2Checkout.com. However, as their resellers have become increasingly international, it adds that the need has developed for greater flexibility in payment processors.
It avers that it allows website owners and server administrators to maximize uptime by constantly monitoring the status of web services. The platform can monitor virtually any service, including HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SSH, SMTP, DNS, POP3, IMAP, MySQL, and any arbitrary services running on TCP/IP. If the system detects downtime, it sends a notification through email or cell phone text message. Further it has created a library of literature outlining the parameters of its API. Resellers can access this through the company's website. There are no additional fees for using the API, adds the company.
"By supporting external payment systems, our resellers are able to resell our services more easily to their target clients. Resellers can link their reseller website with any external payment system they wish to use, just by implementing a simple API," said Hyperspin Managing Director ChoonKeng Chua.
