IBackup, an online storage and backup provider, today announced the release of its 'IBackup Personal', an integrated onsite and online backup service.
IBackup Personal offers traditional onsite backup features including ability to backup to LAN, removable drives, CD/DVDs. It also offers features including ability to encrypt data using a user provided key, and ability to maintain multiple versions. Users can transfer their backupset information to online backup application called IBackup Professional, modify it to suit their online backup needs and execute online backups.
Other features include ability to backup most commonly backed up data including Email data, Microsoft office and Multimedia files easily without having to know their exact paths, advanced logging and reporting, scheduling and ability to run as a service.
"With proliferation of digital content, consumers and small businesses have a compelling need to have a reliable backup strategy to protect their digital assets. Onsite backups have their advantages in speed, performance and cost. Online backup has its advantages in providing a secondary offsite location for protection of critical data. By offering IBackup Personal solution that combines the two, IBackup is first to offer an integrated solution that offers both onsite and offsite backups to consumers and small businesses," said Mr. Naveen, Project Manager, IBackup.
