Allows database administrators to define, automate and monitor backup schedules across multiple servers and databases enterprise-wide.
Idera, a provider
of management and administration solutions for Microsoft SQL Server,
today announced version 4.0 of SQLsafe, a backup and recovery solution
for SQL Server databases.
According to the company, it allows database administrators to
define, automate and monitor backup schedules across multiple servers
and databases enterprise-wide.
Other features in SQLsafe v4.0 include IntelliRestore - a recovery
time in the event of data loss by providing graphical point-in-time
recovery using a sliding time scale. Choose a point in time and SQLsafe
will assemble all the backup components and execute the operations
necessary to restore the database to the specified point in time.
Multiple database restore - Saves time in emergency recovery
situations by allowing DBAs to quickly restore multiple databases at
once using a simple restore wizard. Reliable, high-performance backup
& recovery for SQL Server 2005 Express Edition and support for
advanced backup options in SQL Server 200, the company claimed in its
release.
