Inflow-Philadelphia, a leading provider of outsourced technology services , announced it will host a CIO roundtable event highlighting the best practices behind building or leveraging a state-of-the-art datacenter environment to drive the greatest return on investment. The event will be held tomorrow morning – Wednesday, April 21, from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Inflow-Philadelphia Office, 833 Chestnut Street, 11th Floor, in Philadelphia.
Topics for the event include: a “Build vs. Buy” discussion of the pros and cons of building a data center environment, how to leverage an external service provider’s business model to better compete, how to design and maintain a 24x7 operational system or platform, and where to look for hidden data center management costs.
“It makes sense to leverage the best practices of external service providers, as they make it their business to streamline operations, control costs and offer exceptional service -- they have to in order to stay in business,” said Art Zeile, chief executive officer for Inflow, Inc. “Inflow’s presentation will help today’s IT executives identify the key areas to consider when making the decision to build or outsource a data center environment, and will outline how to achieve a world-class operational support system for long-term success.” Inflow has built 13 state-of-the-art datacenters and through this experience has developed a comprehensive suite of data center best practices that help clients achieve optimal operational efficiencies, revenue gains and cost savings. Inflow's services help IT executives assess their current IT infrastructure, costs and operational processes in order to make informed strategic IT decisions that will positively impact their business over time.
As part of Inflow-Philadelphia’s 2004 CIO roundtable series, Inflow plans to hold quarterly roundtable events to discuss other topics impacting the Philadelphia technology community. “We are eager to share our lessons learned along the way to becoming an industry-leading provider,” said Zeile. “Our efforts have resulted in several notable achievements such as ISO 9001:2000 certification and company EBITDA positive status. Companies can benefit from leveraging our industry expertise to reach their own strategic goals.”
