Claims to be the first major provider with both SAS 70 and PCI compliance.

Intermedia, a provider of Microsoft Exchange hosting, announced yesterday that it has passed the SAS 70 auditing process. A standard achieved by few hosting providers, the company is now SAS 70 certified across the entire organization.

A SAS 70 audit shows that a service organization has been through an in-depth audit of their control activities, including information technology processes. The audit was completed by DuPont and Morgan, LLP, a leading independent certified public accounting firm which specializes in SAS 70 compliance audits.  

Following SAS 70 certification, all its customers may now have access to a description of the company's controls and an independent assessment of whether the controls were placed in operation, suitably designed, and operate effectively.
