Intermedia.NET, a provider of Microsoft Exchange and web hosting solutions for SMBs, today announced that it will offer WordPress, a blogging software, to its web hosting customers as a free monthly service.
According to the company, the blogging service allows users to create a professional-looking blog within their own web site. After a one-time $5 setup fee, Intermedia.NET customers can immediately build a customized blog.
WordPress is fully W3C standards-compliant and supports features of professional blogs including trackbacks, multiple authors, auto-correct typography and dynamic generation from style sheets. Users also have the option of password-protection in order to control comments to their blog. Other benefits of the blog include Ping-O-Matic support, cross-browser bookmarklets, XML-RPC interface, easy importing and full user registration.
