Enters into an agreement to acquire the operating assets of 2Fast Communications; closing of the acquisition expected to occur within 30 days.
Internet America, Inc., an Internet services provider, today announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire the operating assets of 2Fast Communications, Inc., a wireless ISP based in San Antonio, Texas. 2Fast primarily serves suburban markets around San Antonio. Closing of the acquisition is expected to occur within 30 days.
"2Fast Communications, Inc. is a very exciting acquisition for Internet America," said Billy Ladin, Chairman and CEO, Internet America. "It offers an excellent wireless product to customers in suburban San Antonio markets and has built a technically impressive network. We are very pleased to be offering wireless Internet access service to even more suburbs of San Antonio."
In July, 2005, Internet America announced the acquisition of TopGun Telecom, a wireless ISP that served areas to the southeast of San Antonio around Floresville, Texas in Wilson County.
Shane Mitchell, President of 2Fast Communications, Inc. will work with Internet America in the areas of new market identification and location and infrastructure construction and development.
