Latest release of Proventia Network Integrated Security Appliance brings behavioral based virus prevention technology to the network.
Internet Security Systems, Inc., a provider of products and services that protect against Internet threats, recently announced the newest release of its Proventia Network Integrated Security Appliance with virus prevention technology.
A key new technology for ISS and its customers, this new offering extends the value of the virus prevention capabilities recently unveiled in ISS' complementary product, Proventia Desktop Endpoint Security. Additional enhancements included in this latest version include increased anti-spyware protection and the ability to run the device in a transparent mode, which allows organizations to seamlessly implement the device without reconfiguring their networks.
"The extension of virus prevention technology from the desktop to the network marks another stride in ISS' commitment to staying ahead of Internet threats," said Greg Adams, Vice President of Product Management, ISS. "By incorporating virus prevention into our network protection products, we are taking the next logical step in our continual effort to provide customers with a comprehensive set of security tools under a single, easy-to-manage platform."
