WorldxChange delivers converged IP services to its customers with high-performance broadband services router.
Juniper Networks, Inc., a networking provider, today announced that New Zealand's WorldxChange has deployed their E320 Broadband Services Routers to enable the quality delivery of advanced Voice over IP and high value Internet services. It states that with sophisticated, hierarchical quality of service features, the E320 BSR enables WorldxChange to deliver premium voice and data services over a single connection, using a range of diverse access technologies, and ensuring the performance of each service. It adds that WorldxChange has also deployed their Secure Services Gateways to secure its services and backend systems, including its domain name system servers.
The company explained that E320 supports high subscriber density, high system capacity and high-density Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, enabling WorldxChange and other service providers to effectively support the high bandwidth, large scale demands of next-generation IP-based services. In the two years since it was introduced, more than 1600 E320 platforms have been shipped to over 70 service provider customers worldwide, claims the company.
In addition, it states that the SSG product family are purpose-built security appliances that deliver a perfect blend of performance, security and LAN/WAN connectivity, with a complete set of optional Unified Threat Management security features including stateful firewall, IPSec VPN, IPS, antivirus, anti-spam and Web filtering for comprehensive application and network protection.
"Demand for advanced services continues to grow, and we need to capitalize on that growth by driving down network costs and increasing ARPU with innovative new services," said Paul Clarkin, director at WorldxChange. "The E320 offers the scale and feature set we need to simplify subscriber provisioning, reduce our back office costs, and speed the development and delivery of compelling new services, giving us a strategic advantage: the ability to rapidly expand our customer base and service portfolio while maintaining an efficient operations environment and tightly controlling network costs. The fewer boxes to manage, the better."
"Innovative service providers around the world are looking to Juniper to help them monetize their network—drive down costs while increasing revenue by accelerating the delivery of innovative new services," said Shaun Page, Juniper's vice president for Australia and New Zealand. "Our E320 and SSG solutions provide WorldxChange with the service-enabling network infrastructure that enables them to expand and accelerate service model innovation and truly monetize their network."
