Company's Ashburn data center will provide Phoenix NAP East Coast Point of Presence.

Latisys, a colocation and managed hosting provider, yesterday announced an IT infrastructure services agreement with Phoenix NAP, a next-generation data center and network access point.

The company says that under terms of the multiyear agreement, it is providing Phoenix NAP with data center footprint, power, bandwidth and disaster recovery from the company's high density SOC 2 and SOC 3 audited data center in Ashburn, Virginia. Initially, Phoenix NAP will be offering its public cloud solution, Secured Cloud, and is considering offering its Secured Servers product line from Ashburn as well.

It states that the company's data center platform is now operated under SOC 2 Type 2 and SOC 3 audited controls. This replaces the SAS 70 guidebook and reaffirms its commitment to meet the highest standards for availability and security, while making sure all of the appropriate controls and safeguards are firmly in place across its IaaS platform. The company recently announced that it is adding 72,000 square feet of secure, high density, service provider grade IT infrastructure space along with significant power upgrades. Its total data center platform now exceeds 343,000 square feet across seven data centers in four major markets.
