Launches a Service Provider Edition and also offers a security appliance based on its MailMarshal SMTP software.

Marshal, an email and Internet content security provider, today announced that it is launching a Service Provider Edition of its MailMarshal software and also announced its security offerings of a 'new generation' security appliance based on its MailMarshal SMTP software.

MailMarshal Service Provider Edition provides MSPs and ISPs with hosted email security services that can be tailored to their customers' specific requirements. Services offered include email filtering, policy control, archiving and reporting and the ability to grant differing levels of administration access rights to service providers' customers' own administrators. MailMarshal SPE offers service providers to tailor their email security services - and grant different levels of administration access rights - to match the particular requirements of each customer.

The MailMarshal eIOOOO is a hardened email processing platform that supports load balancing out of the box and is also pre-configured with a anti-virus scanner. It provides content protection as well as a defence against malware, making it ideal for companies that prefer the convenience of appliance hardware but require comprehensive content security at the gateway perimeter. The Marshal security appliance also provides content inspection as well as protection against security threats including: spam, phishing, viruses, spyware, fraud, porn, DHA, DOS, regulatory non-compliance and intellectual property theft, says the company.
